Why Soupies?
Healthy and Tasty
Soup is a ubiquitous food, found across continents and cultures! Cooking soup makes all the ingredients easier to digest, and helps us better absorb all the vitamins and minerals. Freezing soup then locks in all the nutrients, texture, and flavor without any additives!
The traditional canning process involves extremely high heat and pressure, consequently requiring additives and lots of sodium to preserve texture, color, and flavor.
How do you soupies?
We recommend putting frozen soupies in a pot over medium heat, and cover. Stir occasionally until heated through! It'll take longer than heating traditional canned soups, but we promise it's worth it.
Where Soupies??
We are taking limited orders (link at the top of this page), and frozen soups will be available for pickup in San Francisco. Delivery within San Francisco also available for an additional fee!
We are also going to be at the Outer Sunset Market & Mercantile! June 28, July 19, August 9, September 27, from 9am to 2pm, rain or shine! 37th Avenue at Ortega to Quintara.
Where do Soupies come from?
Auntie Mandu over the years would always cook and freeze soups with her mom, and she wanted to share them with you! These Soup recipes are based on flavors from Auntie Mandu's childhood and hopes she can bring a little joy to your day. Today, soupies are made in small batches locally in San Francisco.
